Our successful candidate is a collaborative and energetic leader with a progressive vision for 21st-century academic health sciences libraries and their roles in the mission of the Institute for Innovative Education (IIE) and the Medical Center (URMC). The director has multifaceted responsibilities and interacts with a wide range of constituencies in an environment of increasing technical, financial, and political complexity. 

The director provides dynamic leadership and oversight for Edward G. Miner Library (URMC); Basil G. Bibby Library (Eastman Institute for Oral Health) (EIOH); Williams Health Sciences Library (Highland Hospital) (HH); and the Golisano Children’s Hospital Family Resource Library (URMC).

As a member of the IIE’s leadership team, the director reports to the Associate Dean for Innovative Education.
