Internet privacy is an important concern to the Association of Academic
Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL). The AAHSL web site supports privacy
of Internet data.
The AAHSL web site does not store personal information in any area.
The AAHSL web site merely logs the user's IP address that is automatically
recognized by the AAHSL Web server.
AAHSL does use cookies for collecting user information from the web
site. We only collect information about users that are required for
system administration of the Web server. We do not collect personal
information.
AAHSL does not:
- Provide or release names, web site addresses or e-mail addresses
of users to any third party without the users explicit permission.
AAHSL uses users data to:

Definition of Terms
Browser
Used to locate and display Web pages via a software application. The
most popular ones are Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Cookie
Message given to a web browser by a web server. The message is then
stored by the browser in a text file called cookie.txt. Each time the
browser requests a page from the server, this message is sent back.
A cookie's main objective is to identify users and personalize their
visit by customizing web pages for them for example by welcoming them
by name next time they visit the same site. A site using cookies will

IP (Internet Protocol)
