In recognition of the importance of supporting new medical schools, AAHSL has appointed a New Academic Health Sciences Libraries Task Force. An outcome of this group has been the development of a symposium which will bring together representatives from schools currently in the LCME pipeline to discuss the planning process for library services and resources, discuss experiences and challenges, and share their vision of the medical school library for the 21st century.
