Web Site Update: New Leadership Development Page, Leadership Scholarships Available

I am pleased to announce that there is a new Leadership Development page posted to the AAHSL web site. Future Leadership Committee Chairs Carol Jenkins and Judy Consales, along with Carolyn Lipscomb, Leadership Development Project Manager, proposed a redevelopment of the page. The page's emphasis is to show AAHSL's interests in the "continum of opportunities" available to members' staff and others concerned about recruiting and developing future leaders in academic health sciences libraries. This new page provides a good 'home' for concentrating all the AAHSL efforts on promoting leadership development.

Related, applications for the AAHSL Leadership Scholarships are posted at the new Leadership Development page (right navigation panel) and at the Application for Awards, Scholarships (left navigation panel). Application deadline is April 1, 2008.

Web Site Updates

A new Spotlight is posted today highlighting the services and collections at the Levy Library, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine.

Also, a new, updated link is now made to the Scholarly Communication Toolkit.  The toolkit highlights resources relevant to the new NIH public access policy.
