Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences (http://www.library.vcu.edu/tml/), VCU Libraries (http://www.library.vcu.edu), is the largest health sciences library in Virginia serving six health sciences schools. For over 110 years, it has provided resources and services to VCU’s Medical College of Virginia Campus personnel, 75 of them from its current location.

Within the past five years, it has offered customized consumer health information to the general public through its Community Outreach Information Network, COIN ( http://www.library.vcu.edu/coin/). Tompkins-McCaw Library owns one of the largest medical artifact collections in the country as well as a rich historical run of journals. In addition to its historical legacy, Tompkins-McCaw Library offers modern services and conveniences including updated teaching facilities, wireless Internet access and coffee service.
