Director of Dana Medical LibraryJob Title: Director of Dana Medical Library Job Description: The University of Vermont Libraries seeks an experienced librarian to lead the Dana Medical Library. The Dana Medical Library provides high quality medical and health sciences information and services that support the educational, research and patient care needs of the Larner College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the University of Vermont Medical Center. The Library also provides access to health information to the citizens of Vermont. This position directs all phases of Library operations, including developing policies, coordinating and planning for services, and supervising a team of seven faculty librarians and 11 staff. The Director reports to the Dean of Libraries and works collaboratively with other units within the Libraries: Collection Management Services, Special Collections, Information & Instruction Services, and Access and Technology Services. RESPONSIBILITIES: •Responsible for the overall administration of Dana Medical Library functions, including planning, staffing, budgeting, delivery, and evaluation of the full range of academic library collections and services to the Larner College of Medicine, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the University of Vermont Medical Center.
