Organization: Augusta University (AU) Libraries Full/Part Time: Full Time Job Summary Job ID: 288671 Position #: 40074114 Augusta University (AU) Libraries seeks a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor who will provide leadership for the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) campus library in support of the MCG/Georgia Southern University (GSU) Partnership in Savannah, GA. This position is based at the MCG/GSU Savannah campus academic suite, which does not include a physical library collection. The librarian will collaborate with colleagues from the Robert B. Greenblatt MD Library located at the main campus in Augusta, GA. The candidate will leverage centralized resources to deliver seamless access to library services in support of faculty, students, residents, clinicians, and staff. The librarian will act as the sole health sciences librarian at the location, providing a full range of information services for the four-year clinical campus site while actively serving as a member of the Augusta University Library faculty. The faculty member will hold the administrative post of Campus Library Director and will provide instruction and information services for MCG faculty and students, contribute to the development of embedded library services for the MCG/GSU partnership health sciences campus. This is a non-tenure track faculty position eligible for promotion and a member of the Augusta University Library Faculty. The position will work with the campus director at AU/UGA Medical Partnership in Athens and the Director, Greenblatt Library, Augusta to coordinate services for medical students and faculty across the state. The position reports directly to the Dean of Libraries, Augusta University with shared reporting to the MCG/GSU partnership administration. The incumbent may also explore options for advancing medical student success with the Dean of the Georgia Southern University Libraries Responsibilities Teaching - 60% Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Master's degree from ALA accredited program Required Experience Other Required Qualifications Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member with 3-5 years of experience Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. Professor- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. Per Board of Regents (BOR) policy, Professors must have a terminal degree. Preferred Qualifications Substantial experience working with preclinical and clinical medical education programs. Shift/Salary/Benefits This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Assistant Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary range is $73,000 - $83,000 and is subject to availability of funds. Associate Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary range is $83,00- 98,000 subject to availability of funds. Professor- Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary range is $98,00 and above subject to availability of funds.
