Join Patricia Brennan, RN, Ph.D., Director, National Library of Medicine, for a discussion on NIH's UNITE

The AAHSL Education and Program Committee is pleased to host an information session on NIH's UNITE initiative with special thanks to Cristina Pope and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for suggesting the topic. UNITE aims to establish an equitable and civil culture within the biomedical research enterprise and reduce barriers to racial equity in the biomedical research workforce. AAHSL recently issued a joint response with MLA highlighting how information professionals can inform and facilitate this initiative. 

Learn more about UNITE and NLM's current and future plans for advancing the initiative.  At this informal talk, there will be time for questions, to share your institution's involvement with UNITE, and to imagine how health sciences libraries can get more involved with UNITE on their campuses.
